We are seeking a Tech & Automation Specialist to scale our digital infrastructure and automation ecosystem across multiple brands. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable automation workflows that streamline internal operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and significantly improve team productivity.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, automation, and AI-enabled tools—integrating systems, optimising processes, and deploying intelligent solutions that reduce manual effort and support business growth. The objective is clear: operational leverage through fewer bottlenecks, faster execution, and reliable systems built to scale.
Automation Design, Build & Optimisation
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable automation workflows across departments to eliminate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Implement AI-driven and rule-based automations, develop supporting backend logic, scripts, and databases, and continuously monitor, test, and optimise workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability. Audit existing systems and recommend future-ready improvements aligned with business growth.
Systems, Integrations & Infrastructure
Configure, manage, and maintain internal software tools, platforms, databases, and automation environments. Build and maintain robust integrations between internal systems and third-party services using APIs to ensure seamless data flow and eliminate silos. Support infrastructure setup, deployment, and environment configuration as required. Resolve technical issues including API failures, form integrations, website errors, and system-level incidents.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Ensure all automations and systems are clearly documented, maintainable, and resilient. Create structured documentation covering business objectives, workflow logic, tools used, error handling, and maintenance guidelines. Maintain a central documentation repository and support internal knowledge transfer through walkthroughs and enablement sessions.
Technical Support & Enablement
Act as first-line technical support for automation and system-related issues. Deliver timely fixes, implement preventive solutions, and support adoption of new tools, platforms, and automated processes. Provide technical onboarding and training to ensure smooth internal usage.
Process Optimisation & Performance Tracking
Continuously evaluate workflows to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities. Recommend and implement tools, platforms, or methods that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. Track automation performance metrics such as time saved, error reduction, and output improvement, and document before-and-after impact for internal reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Content, HR, Finance, and Operations teams to support campaign automation, lead capture, publishing workflows, onboarding, reporting, invoicing, and data synchronisation. Translate technical processes into clear, non-technical guidance and maintain consistent alignment with management and technology leadership.
Security, Data & Risk Management
Ensure all systems comply with internal data, privacy, and security standards. Secure API credentials and integrations, implement backups and redundancy for critical systems, and proactively identify, report, and mitigate technical risks and vulnerabilities.
1. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Python
2. Hands-on experience with automation and workflow platforms (e.g. n8n, Zapier, Make, RTILA)
3. Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
4. Proven experience with API development and systems integration
5. Practical application of AI tools and prompt engineering
6. Web development knowledge, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms
7. Ability to audit, optimise, and propose improvements to technology stacks and workflows
8. Excellent documentation and communication skills
9. DevOps, deployment, and environment management experience (strong advantage)
1. Percentage of eligible workflows successfully automated across departments
2. Measurable time savings delivered per department through automation initiatives
3. Automation reliability rate, including failure frequency and recovery time per quarter
4. Quality, completeness, and clarity of automation and system documentation
5. Average response and resolution time for technical and automation-related issues
6. Reduction in manual processing errors, rework, and data duplication
7. Internal user adoption and satisfaction levels with automated systems and tools
